Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms cover your use of AutomateBake, the software custom cake bakeries use to receive order requests, send quotes, and book orders. By using AutomateBake you agree to them. Questions? Email automatebake@gmail.com.
For customers
- Your order is with the bakery. When you send a request or accept a proposal, your agreement is with the bakery, not AutomateBake. The bakery sets its prices, deposit, policies, and terms, and is responsible for your cake.
- Payments go to the bakery. You pay the bakery directly, the way it tells you. AutomateBake doesn't take or hold payments.
- Accepting a proposal. Typing your name and checking the box to accept a proposal is your signature. We record the name, time, and IP address as a record for you and the bakery.
- Prices exclude sales tax unless the bakery says otherwise. The bakery adds any tax to your invoice.
For bakeries
- Accounts. AutomateBake is invite-only. Keep access to your login email secure, and only add people you trust to your team. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Your business, your responsibility. You set your prices, policies, and limits, and you're responsible for checking quotes before you send them, for your agreements with customers, for collecting payments, and for taxes, licenses, and food safety.
- Your customers' information. Use it only to handle their orders and in line with privacy laws. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it for you.
- Your content. You own your price list, policies, logo, and orders. You let us store and display them only to run AutomateBake for you.
- Fees. Subscription fees, if any, are agreed with you separately. We'll tell you in advance before any change.
- Ending. You can stop using AutomateBake at any time and ask us to delete your information. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when we can.
For everyone
- Fair use. Don't misuse AutomateBake: no spam, fake requests, attempts to access other people's information, or anything illegal.
- The service. We work to keep AutomateBake running and accurate, but it's provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It may sometimes be unavailable or change.
- Limits on liability. To the extent the law allows, AutomateBake isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost orders or profits. Our total liability to a bakery is limited to what it paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Changes. We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell bakeries by email about important changes. Using AutomateBake after a change means you accept the new terms.
